Mindful Mornings

Having a great day starts with a supportive and mindful morning routine. I’m not saying that you have to wake up at 4 am to have an entire day before your regular day even starts. But, rather incorporate intentional habits in a way that feels right to you. I recently saw someone on TikTok saying that she was transitioning to waking up at 4 am every morning and I could not imagine that. I am the type of person who has a hard time waking up before 6am. It’s a nice reminder that what works for one person may not work for you and that is A-okay.

A mindful morning routine looks different for everyone and can even vary from day to day within your life. Regardless of how your morning routine looks or what habits you’re choosing to incorporate, what is most important is how it sets the tone for the day!

When you don’t have a routine in the morning, your days and weeks can feel inconsistent and it’s likely your mood will be all over the place. That’s because you’re not allowing enough time to tap into how you want to feel or incorporate habits that help support your mind and body. This can lead to increased anxiety and stress to easily take over, rippling into many aspects of your life and especially the evening! Cue, emotional eating or scrolling or moodiness for no reason. This cycle will just repeat until the weekend arrives and I don’t know about you, but I hate constantly looking forward to the weekend, dreading the Sunday scaries, and repeating it all over again.

There are many different habits that you can try on in the morning to see what feels best and  aligns with your goals. I created a free mini-guide to help improve your morning routine! Within this guide are 8 habits with explanations, habit tips, morning journal prompts, and a daily journal template.

I’d love to hear what you think and how you decide to enhance or kickstart your morning moving forward!
