My Holistic Period Journey
Now that I experience consistent periods with very minimal PMS, barely any cramping, and a manageable flow, I want to share with you how I support my body throughout each phase with different habits and holistic tools. Since I’ve learned the many changes occurring in the body within each phase of the cycle, I implement different habits at different times.
What I wish I had known when I started my holistic health journey
Everything that I’m about to share are things that I wish I had known when I started my journey but there is nothing about my holistic health journey that I regret, aside from maybe just embodying the lifestyle sooner! I hope that if you’re just getting started or you are on the path to living more of a holistic and integrative lifestyle this blog is helpful.
My story, my why
I don’t think I’ve ever fully shared my journey and the reasons behind why I changed career paths. Sometimes I hesitate to open up and become vulnerable, especially sharing my why. I guess due to fear of judgment or even offending someone. As I continue to learn, grow, and work on my health, I am realizing two things. One- I can’t control someone else's judgment or how anyone perceives me. Two- I am not here to please everyone, and there will always be different perspectives, views, or opinions, and that’s okay
When does it become too much?
When you begin living a more holistic lifestyle, you have to understand that once you learn something it’s hard to “unsee” it. I always like to say that the more you know the better you do, but I also want you to know that sometimes I feel like ignorance really is bliss. You begin to learn so much that you go through these phases of confusion, frustration, anger, acceptance, and then eventually empowerment.
Mini-Habit Challenges
This will especially provide you with more context, support, and insight! Once you start feeling confident about implementing healthy habits in one of these three aspects of life, you will begin to see change and transformation.
