Holistic Pantry Staple Items

So you’re on a holistic health journey and this year you’re getting more consistent with your nutrition by cooking more meals at home. Maybe you’ve started with finding new recipes or better understanding ingredient labels. Perhaps you are reducing the amount of highly palatable foods and incorporating more whole food sources.

Wherever you are, let me ask you… have you stocked your pantry with holistic staple items?

One tip that will help you improve your nutrition habits: get your pantry organized and stocked with staple items. These items can look different for every household but I have a few recommendations for you! Having staple items in your pantry at all times will not only make your life and home cooking easier but will provide you with versatility on your holistic health journey.

One thing I’ve come to realize on my journey is that a lot of whole food ingredient recipes require at least one or two of these items!

Holistic Pantry Staple Items:

  • Lemons

  • Garlic + Ginger

  • Honey

  • Grass-fed beef sticks

  • Nuts and seeds

  • Apple cider vinegar

  • Bone broth

  • Honey/maple syrup

  • Protein powder

  • Coconut milk

  • Nut butter

Need a quick snack? Grab a beef stick and a handful of nuts

Feel a sore throat coming on? Make ginger tea with lemon and honey

Need a salad dressing? Use apple cider vinegar as the base

No time for lunch? Make a protein shake with some nut butter

Cooking rice? Use bone broth instead of water

Ran out of coffee creamer? Use coconut milk

You see, having these staples are key for flexibility in the kitchen! Especially when you’re in a pinch. I encourage you to check out your pantry and see what staple items you already have. You could also check some ingredient labels and use this opportunity to clean out and organize.
